It was disappointing to see us lose like that - but it does make the next couple of tests very intriguing.
Mitch Marsh is rubbish - the fact he has played over 20 tests is an absolute disgrace!
I must admit I haven't been this invested in a test series since the last ashes series in England.
I don't care for home test series - it's the away ones where we truly see how good the players are.
As I have been told, mitch is in the squad as an allrounder.
The problem is he hasn't taken a wicket in the series, and hasn't scored many runs....... Great section by the selectors!
Who says test cricket is dead? Enthralling test with all the makings (apart from the result). Amazed GIAE hasn't come on yet rabbiting on about Smith yet. I was offering 8/1-on he'd post before 9am this morning about it! Maybe he's sick or forgot to charge his laptop.
Great test match and hilarious to see Aussies complaining about Kohli's behavior - surely he should know it's only Australians that are allowed to carry on like that!

I don't understand the issue with what Kohli did, he saw someone cheated it and told the bloke off for it.

I'm one of the few that will defend him.
While he might seem a little 'over the top' I think it's only highlighted because traditionally Indian players don't act like that and because it is against Australia.
We have been doing it for years and far worse than that so I have no issue with it.
The Aussies need to suck it up and deal with it.
ps. any commentators using the 'spirit of the game' excuse against Kohli is a downright imbecile - competitiveness and the desire to win is what is on show here

mmmmm....Kohli makes unsubstantiated claims against the aussies (re the amount of times the aussies have 'looked up' at the dressing room')which have been contradicted by the umpires and smith admits to his error in judgement....
Kohli...little man syndrome who is having a shite time against Australia....
BTW - don't condone what Smith/handscombe did though

Not having a great series but certainly one of, if not, the best batsmen in the world.
Even Michael Clarke has come out and said it seems to be a systematic ploy to use the dressing room to help with DRS.
Not sure what benefit the dressing room can give anyway. Cant see anyone feasibly waiting around long enough for anyone in the dressing room to have looked at front foot, ball tracking, hot spot etc before being able to give an all clear one way or another. May as well ask the boy selling hot dogs what he thought.
Silliest thing was Smith's LBW was probably the most plumb of the entire test!

They have seen it on TV, with technology now they could have paused it and gone back and watched it more than once in that time as well.

How long would that take? More than they could get away with, clearly.

A matter of seconds. could be watched twice in the time it takes the 2 batsmen to walk to each other
You really believe that? I'll ask Boof next time I see him how long they have, but one would imagine they wouldn't have better technology than the third umpire (and quicker), otherwise why does it take so long to give someone out on DRS sometimes?

They have 15 seconds from dead ball to deciding to review, they wouldn't be using DRS but they can have a look on the tv and replays.
15 seconds could get you quite a few viewings. So plenty of time to look at it twice and give a signal.

Ooooooooohhhh look at you hob nobbing it with the stars.....
Stoinis to replace the "injured" Mitch Marsh for next test.
I guess faking an injury is better than the selectors actually doing something about his "shit" performances.
I can see it now, Australia loses the next test and guess who gets re-selected for the final test...

Oh dear, Lehmann a "star"? I guess its a crime to know someone now. Fact is, know his son better in all honesty.
