Re: Aus v India - test series
Both teams have had pretty much an identical catch called as a catch this series.
Umpires make the decisions not the players.
My position is that neither was a catch and neither should have been given out.

Re: Aus v India - test series
I hear GIAE wants Australia to win this test.
I wont be convinced we will win until the last wicket falls - the guys that are currently in seem to have some grit, but the inconsistent pitch should help us do the job.

I'm neutral, but australia winning would help England get the #1 ranking and also make my point that australia can only play in their own conditions.

Most "neutrals" would prefer a 1-1 score coming into the third test, so lets hear it from you - C'MON AUSSIE!!God is an Englishman wrote:Bomber wrote:I hear GIAE wants Australia to win this test.

Well if you know your cricket, you would know you'd know there was only one possible answer there.MegaBonus wrote:God is an Englishman

Teams change all the time. This team I didn't think would even win a test at home let alone abroad, but they are showing some fight against a decent side at least.

thanks for clarifying 'Mr stating the obvious'
imagine that, a team missing their 2 best batsmen (arguably at the time the best batsman in the world), having gone through the upheaval of coach resignations and admin changes, dealing with the emotional fall out of the Sth African tour are more likely to win at home than away.....yep, you know your cricket...

If it was so obvious, why did you ask the question?
Blame it on all the cheating if you like but australia do not have a good record (recently) away from home. Spin that however you like.

Re: Aus v India - test series
1-1 so already better than I expected.
Bring on boxing day and looking forward to the Bay 13 chants, probably along the lines of when Hadlee would play back in the 80's.
And Paine, I don't give a shiraz if you're a stand in captain, just win the toss in Melbourne and the rest should take care of itself.

So far, the bowlers from both teams have dominated this series.
Bumrah has been the best so far.
Great win by the Aussies even if the POM 3rd umpire was trying his best to not let them win.

Indian batsmen have been very poor, other than Kohli and Pujara nobody else has even shown any resilience

To be honest, our batsmen haven't set the world on fire either and so far you can thank the bowlers for keeping us in it.Wayne Kerr wrote:Bomber wrote:Teams change all the time. Still think Warne might be on the money when he says drop Handscomb for Stoinis (if fit).

I would drop Khawaja, Finch and bring in Bancroft and Stoinis

since Captain Obvious you know your cricket, you would remember that the series was tied 1-1 leading into the third and final test....a weakened, shell shocked team will struggle anywhere....God is an Englishman

If this one, I agree and explains why India lost the last test.

Clearly you missed the part where I asked what series you were talking about?
As far as I am away Tyson didn't fail an in competition drug rules? Now, who's changing the subject?

Re: Aus v India - test series
I think it was Clarke and Haddin who did the same in the same test.
Don't see what this has to do with claiming catches though. He seems to have mega's changing the subject illness.
