Kilburn AFL Football Club

Post by Baresi »

I was listening to MMM last night and they had an ex president of the Kilburn AFL Football club blaiming the fact that they dont have players, not on the fact that they cant pay them anymore like they used to, but because they have alot of refugees being moved into their area who only play soccer. Did anyone else hear that? Did anyone have any thoughts on what was said?

The other issue raised was about the SAAFL and country footy player payments and the financial issues that raises.

Bodes well for West Adelaide and their new development.

Easy target.

It's always someone else's fault, but something similar worked well for a bloke back in the late 1930s.

Maybe if the club engaged with some of these people they might join up? I would very much doubt they would lower themselves to that.

Easily the dirtiest football club in SAAFL I ever played against. They don't call them the killers from Kilburn for no reason.

I have... they weren't as bad. Kilburn also beat out other dirty teams like Smithfield, Rosewater and Elizabath. It was nice to see them lose by 300 odd points on the weekend.

I agree, very much doubt they'd lower themselves to play aussie rules.

Hopefully no children were involved (losing side). If they were, lets hope the therapists are on to it soon.

Seems to be the in thing nowadays. Be a crap team, and you'll get limitless free advertising! Line this mob up against Aldinga Sharks as a curtain raiser to the next Power home game.

Why are Aldinga getting all the attention when Kilburn are the team losing by double the margin?

yeah it is pretty impressive there, I played in the Amateur league pre-season cup and the set up was better than most FFSA clubs let alone SAASL clubs.
