each team plays eachother once - 17 games

then the 18 are broken up into 3 groups of six

the top six teams play eachother once

teams 7 to 12 play eachother once and teams 13 to 18 play eachother once

so it'll be a 22 round home and away season.

how they work out who plays home or away in those 5 extra games im not sure but it still sounds a lot better than what they have now which is a totally unfair draw

Only problem here is more "tanking" eg its round 16 (and/or 17), a team might finish 6th or 7th. Wouldn't they rather play last 5 games against the mid table sides as opposed to the top ones?

they better not do this, the current format is great.

and with 18 teams its a lot harder to get into the finals now. you have to be a quality team.

Great move by Port getting Voss into their coaching ranks

Was sad to see Walsh go, but happy to see they got someone with Voss's knowledge and experience

Apparently the Crows tried to get Voss there but he turned them down for Port.

Not hard to understand why hed do that.

agree, Voss doesnt mix his words will be interesting to see how the power players react to that, particularly the younger ones.
Earlier comments bit hard on Walsh,he would have been happy to stay at Port just not as an assistant.

His first meeting with polec should be interesting......I think the words "mummy's boys" might be used.

Polec's twitter posts would suggest that it won't be that interesting.
