not when you lose a series at home to the "2nd" ranked team.
So, number 2 is now the top team. Only in Australia.
Well, Man U are seventh or something like that and they still think they're no 1, so I wouldnt say only in Australia!

Australia back at the top, and are now once again the hunted.

Order has been restored!

How does that work when no one's played? I can only imagine some cabernet performance got lost frmo years ago. How mnay years do the point run through.

If you're number one with that side then I feel bad about the future of test cricket.

We won ours on the pitch, you won yours because results dropped off the other end.

Our result was the basis of years if good results, yours is after 4 months.

Personal stereotypes? Where? Racism? Where?

You made no 1 after a 2-1 or 3-1 win over us, finally got a win in India, we win 5-0 then beat the Saffers on their own turf and yet its due to "other factors"?

Last I looked we just beat two nations that WERE above us ON THE PITCH. Now there's a FACT you can play with.

and still it wasn't enough to lift you to number one spot, you had to rely on poor results dropping off at the other end whilst SA lost good results.

Won on paper, not on grass.

Geez, I'm glad Croydon can still be third on the current PL ladder. After all, 4 years ago we were in the second division, so lets take that into account and drop us to around 10th. Would that make you happy?
Nice to see that the recent 5-0 is STILL eating you up though!

Rankings are not the same as league position. If you're honest with yourself, you know I'm right.

I know that Australia is no1 - and with good reason! Time to suck it up and accept it.

I can accept it, it's there in black and white. The same as I can accept that you won it on paper, not on grass.

So how would you describe a 5-0 mauling of england and beating the then no1 on their own turf? Was this all written down by our cricketers? You should know by now that most won't do their homework!

These cabernet results you speak of.....does it only apply to Australia?

I hear Tiger Woods missed the cut at a tourny a few years ago. I trust his rankings have plummeted.............

No it applies to all of them, eg. sth Africa and England lost a few wins from their rankings. Australia lost 2 losses.

As for Woods missing a cut would have affected his rankings and positively affect it when the cabernet result drops off the other end.
