This coming from someone who was dancing around the place after a 2-1 home win, shortly after a 5-0 away drubbing some years ago? I think you've got caught in your own trap!God is an Englishman wrote:Bomber wrote:God is an Englishman wrote:When you've won the most recent series in England then you will have bragging rights and not until then.
Honours even.
Amazing how many aussies said beat us away and it will count, but now the boot's on the other foot it's laughable.

yes and you told me how it counted for nothing until you've won home and away, is that not the case anymore?Bomber wrote: This coming from someone who was dancing around the place after a 2-1 home win, shortly after a 5-0 away drubbing some years ago? I think you've got caught in your own trap!

No, that particular cricket discussion was around the fact you couldnt win on the (sub) continent (at that time). Since then, you did beat India but I'd say your lot were at their peak then.God is an Englishman wrote:yes and you told me how it counted for nothing until you've won home and away, is that not the case anymore?Bomber wrote: This coming from someone who was dancing around the place after a 2-1 home win, shortly after a 5-0 away drubbing some years ago? Even if that is how you remember the conversation, when was the last time you won in England?Bomber wrote:No, that particular cricket discussion was around the fact you couldnt win on the (sub) continent (at that time). Admit I don't know the law the commentators are talking about but if they're right (which they weren't the other night) then that's another law the 3rd umpire has shiraz up.
EDIT: No, it's once again that Channel 9 don't know the bottle of shiraz laws.

I didn't see the game. What happened this time?
I'm sorry do you have a point or is this just another attempt to take to thread off topic?

Morgan was run out, he grounded his bat over the line but it bounced up at the time the ball hit the stumps. Commentators were convinced that he was not out as he had made his ground before the ball hit.Ashes Whitewash wrote:I didn't see the game. What happened this time?

Re: T20 - Aus v eng
The conversation was about no 1 test ranking you had BEFORE you had beaten anyone other than Bangladesh in asia. I'm not claiming Australia to be no 1, I think we will still get shown up by the Saffers over there and we still need to beat India to get higher than no 3.God is an Englishman wrote:Even if that is how you remember the conversation, when was the last time you won in England?

They should know better. More importantly, did the umpires get it right?God is an Englishman wrote:Morgan was run out, he grounded his bat over the line but it bounced up at the time the ball hit the stumps. Why ask me something you already know the answer of (3 away ashes series ago and many more before then) and what has that to do with test rankings?God is an Englishman wrote:Bomber wrote:The conversation was about no 1 test ranking you had BEFORE you had beaten anyone other than Bangladesh in asia. doesn't matter how you want to put it down on paper, it will always = EMBARRASSINGGod is an Englishman wrote:Bomber wrote:So is that 10-1 now?
If a test gets 1 point, surely one dayers get about 0.2 and a T20 0.1? You can't give them equal footing
I make it
5.9 - 0.1

do we need to get facts and figures out.
olympic medals, overall head to head cricket games, Ashes wins.
GIAE ARE YOU NOT GOOD WITH NUMBERS
Yes please, let's go with Olympic medals. Summer Olympics? Winter Olympics? Overall? OR even all 3.
Can you please get the facts and figures out.
Still waiting for these facts and figures. I can only assume you looked up the figures, realised how wrong you were so went back inside your hole so you didn't have to admit you were shown up.
