for someone who wasn't interested in the one day series you sure have had a lot to say about it, most of it drivel as usual
Do you understand the concept of walking as a batsmen? Clearly not.

There is no law, it's the concept that you walk when you know you're out. Warner walked, he knew he was out. If he had any doubt then he would have stood and waited.

Warner walked because he hit the ball, and thought it was caught behind.
The POM wicket-keeper who cheated and claimed a catch which clearly hit the floor, and subsequently, Warner was called back as he is NOT OUT!

I'm more concerned that cheating is rife in the English campGod is an Englishman wrote:Do you understand the concept of walking as a batsmen? Clearly not.

Re: One dayers
Channel 7 - The clubhouse. They can't believe he got called back, he was out. Seems like there's even a fair few aussies seeing reason now.
Re: One dayers
Along with the concept of walking when you 'believe' you are out because you hit the ball (you have to rely on the catcher's honesty) is another concept that the catcher should not appeal unless 100% sure that it carrried....if there is doubt then the 'carried' side of the appeal is in the umpires hands....God is an Englishman wrote: There is no law, it's the concept that you walk when you know you're out. I'm sorry do you have a point or is this just another attempt to take to thread off topic?

No, by walking he acknowledges that he was out.
Re: One dayers
DRS has removed player's 'certainty' that they were out....as I said before, relies heavily on the appealing team being honest....batsman probably would never contemplate walking if the opposition team signalled a ball had not carried. Do batsmen ever 'walk' on LBW, borderline stumpings etc...even if they believe they are out ?God is an Englishman wrote:Ashes Whitewash wrote:Kojima Haruna wrote:The batsman walking only acknowledges he hit it.
No, by walking he acknowledges that he was out.

Good thing about one dayers is that it is only one day of pain rather than 2 and a half.

Fair played.
Bring on the T20's you reckon? Maybe just a few panadol could do the trick then.

Re: One dayers
Brilliant knock by Morgan - showed some real flair - pity the rest of the English team hadn't shown the same this summer. Get him in the test side.
