I don't know. You'd have to ask the captain.

I wonder if Bomber knows!

Find one instance in the history of cricket did you? Thank yourself lucky you didnt have to endure english cricket in the painstaking decades of the 60's, 70's and 80's when draws were celebrated as wins.

It was quite recent as well, well onyl 12 years ago.

But apparently we wouldn't know anything about it, yet only one side has ever declared in a test at 0/0.

It's good to be the King.

I can make a good assumption as to who it was. I remember when the news about him broke, this was the game that everyone mentioned.

Selectors first (rotation policy must be crushed). The Oz team is all over the shop and the timing couldnt be worse.

0 - 5

I don't think we'll win both series 5-0, you need a lot of luck to manage that.

All cabernet aside, I think England will cruise to a 3-1 or 4-1 win over there (based on current form, selection policies etc), then there will be an uproar and sackings within the ACB, then Australia to reclaim them with a tough fought 2-1 win over here after some necessary changes.
Get Ian Chappell, Warney and Tubby Taylor involved with some decision making regarding selection and policy, and things could turn around quicker. But due to egos and snobbery, cant see it happening in a hurry.

unless weather intervenes i think 5-0 in England is assured

here it might be a little different and the result of the first series will encourage some major changes to the Australian line up

England will win both series comfortably though, Australian cricket is in disarray

You could have the greatest selectors in the world and they still have cabernet players to choose from.

We will win both series comfortably.

Try to stop gloating used-to-rulebritannia et Mr Millwall.

Keep in mind - things go cyclical....

When da Poms come to Orstralya, things may well have changed....

i dont think this is a cyclical trend as it seems to apply to most sports now, not just cricket

Australians seem unable to compete well internationally in general

Who should be in the team that isn't?

Con M - the two series are being played within 6 months of each other, so not much will change.

Australian cricket has officially moved into crisis mode.

And hence the irrelevance of Clarke's declaration!

Of course it didnt matter - you're always on about hindsight!

Maybe the next time Kenny Jackett makes a "strange" sub whilst Millwall are 1-0 down - if they concede again and ultimately lose by more, I guess that will make him a hopeless manager.

It's not hindsight though, it was strange at the time.

And yes if Jackett keeps making mistakes like that then he's hopeless and would ahve to go.

Clark's field placements to lyon is the first test were a sign of his hopelessness. Clark is a "it's all about me" captain whilst pretending it isn't.

this is really indefensible. it's time CA stopped concentrating on making money (Big Bash etc) and actually concentrated on developing cricket!!!! although I understand its a cycle -> money can be provided to development <- but surely they were doing something decent 15-20 years ago.

You never hear much about the cricket academy these days.
