Look I'm no fanatical AFL fanboi or anything, but now you're just being silly.
There's a minimum of 80mins of actual game time in AFL. Ball live, clock rolling.
If there's half of that in football that'd sound about right.
No tanking in the AFL, lol

but they get major breaks in the middle of that? They stop for 5 minutes every time someone completes a pass. The Kop wrote:Look I'm no fanatical AFL fanboi or anything, but now you're just being silly.

roster management?
there's a difference when leaving out your top 3 and the starting five of your team has 5 guys who played at the Olympics for their national teams vs leaving out your top 10-12 and your starting 18 features 12 or 13 kids with 20 AFL games or less....

Re: No tanking in the AFL, lol
Bottom line - coach is in charge of team selection, lives and dies by the sword....if his "bosses" indicate "play youth given we are unlikely to win the league anyway, do the next best thing by our club!". Try "young jimmy" at centre for the last game of the season..............tanking or club at heart for future?
