The game it happened being abandoned perhaps, but it doesn't warrant rearranging other fixtures
How ironic is my avatar?

Geez, letting Klinger go was a good thing so it seems (after smashing another ton against us). Redbacks look like they almost want to get wooden spoons at least every two years. Talk about serious changes needed, mainly from the top.

Wasn't aware they had won. In fact, no team is going to win this match.

Points for this game will be pretty even I think. WA will get the 0.5 bonus for 6 wickets (vs 2), but I think SA had more runs.

Don't they give first innings points anymore?
Nevertheless, scoring 461 means little if you're going to concede 600+

The points scoring system is based on the first 100 overs.

WA were 2/329 at that point in time. = WA: 1.29 points. SA: 0 points

But it looks like we were only about 6/320 SA: 1.20 points WA: 0.5 points

Shrek didn't start hitting out until the 110th over.

Odd that they wouldn't have declared then and try and set the match up more. I still haven't quite worked out this new points system. You think its fair?

It encourages attacking play a bit more, I think.

Dunno if it helps get results though.

Well if this match is any guide, there's more work to be done. That said, if recent form is anything to go by, the redbacks could well get rolled for 90 in the second dig and hand WA some extra points.

Sounds like it could be a very good ending. I would pop along if it was at its proper home ground.

Jason Gillespie turns down Redbacks job

Yorkshire or South Australia? Pretty fckn simple choice especially with the carrot of the England job still dangling.
Time for some righteous indignation

He should take the England job. Imagine Boof and Dizzy, a couple South Aussies taking the piss in an Ashes series! Australia MUST win! :D
