yes and if you don't use them properly, they lie.

"There are 3 types of lies in this world. Lied, Damn lies and statistics." I learnt that on day one of my statistics degree.
I learnt that in first year high school, you're obviously behind the eight ball.

So if you learnt, you should obviously follow the comments that stats lie. So, why haven't you!

Like I said the other day, it must be nice to see the world in such black and white terms.

On topic: Seems that Hughes is biggest tip replace Ponting and bat at three, and Watson is being shifted. Would far prefer to see Clarke at 4, Hussey at 5 and Watson at 6. I'm sure Hughes can deal with batting at 3.

Part of the reason Clarke "failed" at 4 is that he was coming in a 2/50 and he wasn't a new-ball batsman; he's now adapted, and is coming in at 3/50 so one position isn't going to change anything.

Every seems confident that it's Siddle, Starc, Hilfenhaus and Lyon for Hobart, yeah? If Pattinson was fit, I reckon Siddle would be dropped for him... (considering it being Hilf's home Test, cloudy, swing bowling and all that).

It's pretty simple, either you learnt or you didn't. It clearly is black and white!

and that's the point that chade was actually trying (but failing to fully understand). Unless they are used correctly then #statslie.
