Interested to hear of any referees' opinions on the 2nd March AGM agenda of the Laws-of-the-Game Board (I.F.A.B.).
For example:
(1) regarding offside, dropping any reference to the referee's opinion & simply rewriting Law 11 with "...a player is judged to be interfering by clearly obstructing an opponent's vision or challenging an opponent for the ball";
(2) rewriting Law 8 pertaining to a dropped ball situation to re-start play;
(3) not even including on the agenda the controversial so-called "triple punishment" of penalty, red card AND suspension for a player denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity. How do you referees feel when a diving cheat deceives you into awarding a penalty that cops the innocent defender a triple whammy?
(4) how do you feel when a so-called "injured" player causes the opposition to kick the ball out of play for him to get assistance, only for the pretend-injured mug to instantly get to his feet? Do you agree that it should be your call to stop play? Do you eventually get out of patience with players that cry wolf? Could their idiotic whinges cause you to possibly miss a genuine serious injury and mistakenly call 'play-on'?
(5) good to hear you are getting new electronic communication equipment, although some have questioned how that can be afforded in the poverty-stricken FFSA. But just on new things, should you also be supplied with little cans of disappearing spray to mark where idiot defensive walls have to stand 10 yards (9.15 metres) back at free-kicks?

Don't kick the ball out of play. I've always played on and waited for the referee to stop play if he feels it is warranted.Con M wrote:(4) how do you feel when a so-called "injured" player causes the opposition to kick the ball out of play for him to get assistance, only for the pretend-injured mug to instantly get to his feet?
