How would you describe an 18 year old in terms of the U10s? Eligible or ineligible?God is an Englishman wrote:I'd have thought it was quite a simple one!Nice One Cyril wrote:Is that a rhetorical question?God is an Englishman wrote:is an overage player a) eligible or b) ineligible?
PS. The word 'Under" is a clue.

Why are you asking me the same question that I asked you?
Clearly, he is inelegible and therefore covered by Keith Hackett's guidelines for dealing with ineligible players.
QUITE SIMPLE REALLY!

Hate to encroach on this fine legal discussion fellas - and I don't mean to correct the English/spelling of an Englishman like God/Allah is an Englishman, but shouldn't the word "principal" be spelt "principle"?God is an Englishman wrote:the principal is the same of it being an "ineligible" player.
As in "principal" could mean a school principal or headmaster as opposed to "principle" meaning a fundamental truth as basis of reasoning, etc...

Now, now Polska Bomber - I ain't no spelling nazi telling an Englishman what's what..Bomber wrote: You better be very watchful over the next nine years then, matey!
But with your blessing God/Allah is an Englishman, can I correct any apostrophe mistakes?
Remember Julia Gillard's apostrophe poem which goes:
One cat's mat, two cats' mats....

Whatever you want to think is fine by me, you simply ignore anything you don't like, or try to divert using a spurious argument.God is an Englishman wrote:sure sign that you know i'm rightNice One Cyril wrote:Indeed you are.God is an Englishman wrote:Why are you asking me the same question that I asked you?

Perhaps you're being deliberately obtuse saying that 'ineligible' has the same import in junior football as in the professional (open age group) game (which Hackett was talking about), but maybe it's not deliberate at all.

Try Googling it.God is an Englishman wrote:what's the definition of ineligible?

Re: card checks
Nothing to give up on. You have no argument. I've already said about 100 posts ago that, if you're a qualified FFSA referee and you tell me that they are happy for an overage player to participate, that I accept that this is the case. IMO it's wrong.God is an Englishman wrote:Nice One Cyril wrote:Try Googling it.God is an Englishman wrote:what's the definition of ineligible?

You've gone off on some tangent that bears no relation to the original post or what we were talking about.
Little things please little minds I'd suggest.
And whilst you're looking up the definition of ineligible you could look up principal as well

Whilst you've got your nose buried in that dictionary, try looking up the definition of 'opinion'.God is an Englishman wrote:you've been told by 2 ffsa qualified and one fifa ranked. What more do you want?

You gave your "opinion" on what should happen, I told you the facts of how referees are instructed.
I love your picking on my one spelling mistake, a mistake that you didn't even notice.
Time to accept it.if you're a qualified FFSA referee and you tell me that they are happy for an overage player to participate, that I accept that this is the case.
