Celtic Penalty for Dangerous Play

Post by Drusetta »

Last round Celtic received a penalty for a boot too high.

The defender tried to clear and did not see the attacker approach from behind.
There was some contact but nothing that required extensive treatment.

Referee awards a penalty.

I believe this is an indirect free kick inside the box (as obstruction would also be).
Infact I can't remember the last trime I saw an indirect free kick awarded inside the box.
Can anyone confirm whether the rules changed for infringements inside the penalty area?
For the Game. For the World.

Now, if you're lucky, you could hack through your ankle in five minutes.

The clue is in the part in the red, because there was contact it becomed direct instead of indirect under the "kicks or attempts to kick an opponent".
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

27/09/2009 Sunderland 5 - 2 Wolves

Bizarre match. 2 penalties, 2 own goals and an indirect in the box.

I think in Porto vs Arsenal in CL 1st leg this year, Porto's 2nd goal was from an indirect free kick taken in the penalty box.
