2018 International Talent Identification Program

Post by LEVSKI »

Hi all,

If you know of any talented male or female footballers who would like to train and trial in front of professional clubs this December, please forward the details below to them.

The 2018 International Talent Identification Program will be run in Melbourne from 14-20 December, 2018.

The program will run in the mornings of 14, 15, 17, 18 & 20 December at the Veneto Club, 191 Bulleen Road, Bulleen.

The exact times for the sessions have not been finalised as they will depend on final numbers but sessions will be between 90 minutes and 2 hours in length.

It is open to anyone aged 13 and over (2005 born and older). The program will consist of training sessions as well as matches between the registered participants.

This is the sixth edition of this program and to date its been very well received by the overseas clubs. Over the years a number of players have been identified by clubs and offered extended trials overseas by clubs such as Dinamo Zagreb, Heerenveen, FC Twente and Levski Sofia.

The successful signing of Anthony Trajkoski to FC Emmen's U/19s for the 2016/17 season following their attendance at the June 2016 program is further evidence of the program's potential to help local players get overseas opportunities. From there Anthony was able to secure a professional contract with top tier Armenian club, FC Ararat Yerevan where he is contracted till the end of the 2019/20 season.

Last year FC Twente invited Daniel Baggio to trial with them, and whilst he didn't end up signing for Twente, his performance at that trial led to other opportunities both in Holland and Denmark and he ended up signing with Sparta Rotterdam U/19s for the 2018/19 season.

For the first time we are opening up the registrations to girls also. Last year we had our first female participant, Nia Stamatopoulos. Nia was noticed by all the clubs and identified as a standout and she has a standing invite to trial at any of the clubs that participated in the 2017 program. She has since gone on to represent Australia at U/16 level.

Most of the clubs attending have a female section to their clubs and the club representatives have a remit to look at female players for their clubs as well as male.

This year will be the biggest and we hope the best program yet, with at least 10 clubs from around the world in attendance, that's as many clubs as the whole of the A League! In addition, numerous NPL coaches will come to look for potential players for the 2019 season.

The clubs who have already committed for the 2018 program are Sparta Rotterdam, Bredablick, Mechelen, Esbjerg, Ludogorets Razgrad, Levski Sofia and Lillestrom.

They are here specifically to scout for talent for their clubs. Both at the academy level and first team.

Numerous other clubs, such as Vitesse Arnhem, FC Den Bosch, Arsenal, Orlando City, Rabotnicki, Club Brugge and others have expressed an interest in attending. Announcements will be made in the coming weeks as to who else will be attending.

This is a unique opportunity to be coached and scouted by top level professional coaches and scouts from around the world. Every club representative works for those clubs and is able to make decisions on whether or not to offer extended trials or even sign a player directly.

You will be able to talk to and hear from these coaches on what they and other European scouts look for when selecting players for clubs.

The cost of the program is $500 early bird pricing, which expires on 31 October.

For bookings in November it will be $600 and for bookings in December it will be $700.

So get in early and save.
