Rise of the Footsoldier

Post by Hawkesy »

Sort of a football link to it anyway.

Great film but so unrealistic compared to the book. Some good old memories though, of the old Millwall treatment days. Carlton Leach taking an axe to the head but still getting up and smacking the bloke in the balls.
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

that's why i said "sort of a football link". Leach was one of the original members of the Ice Cream Firm, then went on the doors (using his football mates) and was one of the infamous members of the Essex Boys culminating in the Range Rover murders.

I thought it was pretty bad to be honest. Many of my friends were furious as it was beautiful, but after I watched I was completely disappointed; poor functioning, texture etc. dis-joints Essex Boys, starring Sean Bean, which was based on the same transaction, is a better movie I think. I like this very much.

he was one of the leaders of the icf, and most of his doorman were also in it. The whole film starts with that aspect of his life.
