We're still waiting for reform and implementation of the key recommendations of the original Crawford Report which saw the end of the NSL.

The game, the quality of players has gone backwards during the time of the FFA. At least the environment under the old administration still provided breathing space for a reasonable player development system by the standards of this country which saw a squad that was able to defeat Uruguay to qualify for the World Cup.

Now you have to rely on mercenaries from Scotland and Serbia to field a side that is competitive against Asian zone teams.
