It's not an easy group, so don't get your hopes up too high.

Remember, most of the other countries players play far more matches in their club seasons and their National squads are together a lot more than ours.

'Tyranny of Distance' and all that.

Do or die tonight, if they lose they are out of the tournament, and old master surley you would class Iraq and Afghanistan as beatable, understand South Korea but if we cant beat the other two then serious questions need to be asked.

2-1 win for the boys tonight, this puts them equal with Iraq now, lets hope Afganistan cause a boil over tonight against South Korea

They did do well last night but their lack of match conditioning is likely to affect their chances of rising to the challenge again so soon.

Not One competitive match together in Twelve Months - a DISGRACE FFA!

It's like sending Lambs to the Slaughter.

match conditioning or 'team bonding'???

the players are all 'in season', so conditioning shouldn't be an issue....

So now relying on South Korea to beat Iraq and surely we can beat Afghanistan, they got pumped 7-0 against South Korea

There is no replacement for a squad spending time together, playing matches together and learning to work out how each other will react and perform at a higher level.

Yes, there is also the need to give a team time to bond together as well.

By all reports Adam Leombruno is playing a pivotal part, let's hope the Aussies can can continue and take out this tournament.
