Again! Ozzie didn't derserve to be in the World Cup.
Again! Whinging about goals were offside, and how they dominated play even though they lost.
Again! Whoever coaches Socceroos blends in right at home with the arrogant culture.
Again! Blame England for everything! - they should be kissing England muscat, and taking a leaf from their book of real gentlemen in sport. On and off the field.
Again! Timmy will come to the rescue- didn't happen. :D
Again! Everyone else is cabernet and oztralia the best
Again! We'll win it next time!
SUKED IN!
Agaian! There is a football GOD, and you coped what you deserved you arrogant shiraz

Could be worse, he could think you have to be within playing distance of the ball to give away a penalty

Aussie fans cited for racist monkey chants against Peru players by thousands of Peruvian witnesses.

From what I have read, they were boo'ing a player for time wasting. He happened to be black. Not racially based at all.

hundreds of tweets say otherwise

Kangaroo fans have no understanding of football culture. They are the only ones who make these noises apart from sometimes Russians.

What about the Peruvian adult fan who tried to steal Cahill's jersey from a 10 year old boy?

Why deflect instead of addressing your guilt?

So was it confirmed the first goal was offside in the lead up?
Funny thing was that the phase before was clearly a Peru corner, took it forward down the left, coughed it up and they pop a ball over the top. If the corner is correctly given probably changes the course of the game.

In the end you can say it doesn't matter cos we scored no goals and the other game was a draw.
But might have added pressure to the Danes?

You were very lucky to be there in the first place. Syria hit the upright in dying minutes of qualifier. A few inches to the left and you're not even in Russia.

And unlucky by a few inches with the France second goal, your post has no substance.

This is the problem with Kangaroos fans. They always have this "we wuz robbed" mentality and never learn reality.
You cannot improve until you acknowledge your shortcomings. That never happens in Australia.
A nation is in arrested development.

I really don't know about the pass for first goal whether it was offside or not,the linesmen was well behind the play so he had no idea himself! We had the possession ,but we just could not capitalize.

Italy came 2nd in its qualifying group , runner up to Spain.
By my recollection, Australia came third behind Japan and Saudi.

:? :?
That's not a correct interpretation of the rule.
Did attacker gain advantage from being in offside position when ball was played? Yes, then it's offside irrelevant of who "plays the ball".

I thought that as well but was set straight on the interpretation by one of Old Master's best mates when he informed me the interpretation has changed.
gaining an advantage by playing the ball or interfering with an opponent when it has:
rebounded or been deflected off the goalpost, crossbar or an opponent
been deliberately saved by any opponent

You make it sound like the whole nation thought we were going to win the cup, which of course is bollocks except for one fan who placed a silly bet on it at ridiculous odds.
Maybe time to accept that your mob failed to even qualify, that past success is no guarantee of future success (ask Germany).
Picking on low ranked countries does nothing to enhance your perceived superiority.
