At least Australia made it to the 2018 World Cup.

Irrelevant. Italy aren't in the world cup so no need to beat them cause they aren't there. No need to beat a team that isn't good enough to get into the competition.

At the end of the day, FFA won't put up good $$ to attract anyone of significance or with decent international experience to come on board.

I appreciate there are probably hundreds of applications to go through, but any danger they will make a decision SOON so we can move forward?
