I thought rugby was referred as football before Association football was formed.God is an Englishman wrote:NO, the others merely tried to steal the nameMegaBonus wrote:actually, theyre all 'football'......im surprised an Englishman needs to be educated....
Question - MAGNET what does "biggest International Football sport in the world" mean?Retro Metro wrote:Another Key Board clown, come on "get with the programe"magnet wrote:what does "biggest International Football sport in the world" mean?Retro Metro wrote:Am I missing something, because as i see it, the marketing has been deplorable...
TV promotion of the biggest International Football sport in the world coming to Adelaide let alone promotion on National TV (seen nothing).
This is so much a weakness at all levels on “main stream TV”
Football - Soccer number 1 sport internationally and FFA and Adelaide could not promote on any medium the opportinity, I might add a do or die game also.
Football - Rugby
Football -Union
Football - AFL (China) lol "what a joke" but a classic in promotion. It just goes to show how bad the FFA marketing is....
Depends on your definition of rugby. Rugby moved away from football, some may argue though that rugby is closer to what football was then though.Big Mac wrote:I thought rugby was referred as football before Association football was formed.God is an Englishman wrote:NO, the others merely tried to steal the nameMegaBonus wrote:actually, theyre all 'football'......im surprised an Englishman needs to be educated....

When the Socceroos come to town with no promotion, you'd still get 20-30,000 easily. Advertising will get us an extra 15-20,000. I'm sure there will be a bunch of people on Thursday saying "oh look, Advertiser says the Sokkaroos are in town, shall we go to our exquisite stadium across the world-class footbridge and watch Timmy Cahill header a few disposals?"
I'd go to watch the wallabies, how many turned up the last time they played at Adelaide oval?Lucas Leiva wrote:Let's be realistic. If the Wallabies came to town with no promotion, you'd probably find 10,000 at the game.

From wiki..........Adelaide Oval hosted two games of the 2003 Rugby World Cup. On 25 October, The Wallabies played their first international game in Adelaide when they defeated Namibia 142–0 in front of 28,196 fans. The next day Ireland defeated Argentina 16–15 in front of 30,203 fans.God is an Englishman wrote:I'd go to watch the wallabies, how many turned up the last time they played at Adelaide oval?Lucas Leiva wrote:Let's be realistic.
