good midweek crowd in Sydney on a bad weather night and a multitude of competing attractions

no free tickets or gimmicks required at the home of the socceroos

pitch condition was a lot better than adelaide cricket ground

Ticket prices are also a lot higher in cities like Sydney because they sell.
Adelaide needs the state government to bid for these games to make them viable for the FFA.

So share your knowledge and explain the recent deal for holding further Socceroos matches in Sydney, recently signed between the NSW Government and the FFA.

Additional sweetener for the FFA making these matches doubly lucrative. Sydney can still charge higher ticket prices.

But you say ticket prices are higher in Sydney because they sell, when obviously they don't?

After being asked by my eldest daughter, to go with her and her daughter. to watch the game at AO, I must admit it was a pretty good stadium.

Nowhere near as atmospheric as a rectangular stadium would have been but not as bad as I expected.

We had seats in a good position that gave us a similar view to Coopers' but not as clear or near as the latter would provide.

Still I think I might just swallow my pride, admit defeat, and get on the band wagon.

I still prefer Coopers but I night go to AO again if they are playing someone decent.

Parking under the stadium was good but expensive at $18 but it did save us a lot of walking.
The older I get the better I was.

They say you learn something new every day. Today I have learn that there's parking under Adelaide oval. Where's the entrance?

Off King William Road, just past the War Memorial lights.

I was talking to a couple of old friends while waiting for the game to start and neither of them knew there was underground parking either and they'd been there for every Foorball match at the Oval.

I hope if we ever get a stadium of our own that it too has an underground car park with as many disabled parking spaces as the one in AO, it made access to the stands so much easier and less painful for me.
The older I get the better I was.

I've used it twice and only been to the (new) oval 4 or 5 times. Helps if you have a corporate box pass of course.

Why does it matter that it's in Greenland. Wheelchair bound - good point. New born babies as well.
