Postecoglou says Adelaide Oval surface 'not up to scratch'

Post by robs2107 »

I guess the next question is, Is it good enough for A-League finals?
He said the pitch at Adelaide Oval might have been better for such an important match.

"It's actually not the wicket area that's the issue," Postecoglou said.

"They've had some issues with the surrounding areas and put some turf in to replace the issues they've had.

"We face some pretty major obstacles when we're away from home so I'd like to think that when we're at home we get the conditions that suit us.

"So if the pitch isn't up to scratch it tends to be disappointing but it won't stop us."

Ernie Merrick: Of course I am happy when my team scores a goal, it's just that sometimes I forget to tell my face. (On why Ernie doesn't smile on the sideline.)

Absolutely disgraceful pitch surface.

First game in the town in 5 years and that is served up.

It'll be a long time before Adelaide is considered again.

I agree with that , watching on TV it looked disgraceful, worst ive ever seen the surface at Adelaide Oval look.
Strangely though my son who went to the game said it didn't look too bad at all.
