Did you beat every nation when you won the World Cup in 1966? My bet is that you didn't, therefore a moot point. Can only play within the rules of the tournament, ie play and beat who you're up against, but even you know that.
You don't need to beat every nation. We won the tournament in the rules as you said. However, every team in the world had the opportunity to play in that tournament. Not every country in Asia had that opportunity. Also, Australia is not in Asia.
So what? Those countries are allowed to play in UEFA, so why should they be allowed in two different confederations tournament? I gather you'll get your gander up (again) if Russia or Turkey win Europe. If so, perhaps the Chinese and Iranians will get their knickers in a twist too, but somehow I doubt it. Its seems to be just an english/hawkesy "complaint'.

So what age would I had to live there until to be English.

Born in England to English parents. I could have left a minute old and I'd still be English. In fact could never set foot in the place and the parentage alone would have made me English

Now I'm intrigued.

Using your example, born to English parents, but 'never set foot' in England (assuming you mean born outside England, rather than unable to 'set foot' through some disability) ... and you assert they should support their 'local side'.
Which local side do you mean? The side from the town their parents lived in? Or the side of the town in which they were conceived? Or some other 'local side'?
Stirling District (est 1967) 32 seasons successfully avoiding a Championship then this
1999 Div 2 Champions
2002 Div 2 & 2B
2004 Div 1 & Champion of Champions
2007 Div 1 & 1B
2009 Div 1B
2011 Div 1B
2013 Div 2B & 7C
2014 Div 2B

I wait in anticipation of the weaselling that will occur..........

There's a difference between an a club and a national side.

That doesn't really answer my question. In your example, which I've set out above, to which particular area or neighbourhood do you refer?
Perhaps you need a more concrete example:
Born in Paris to English parents, parents come from say Southampton, settled in Adelaide within weeks of birth, never set foot in England. In your (not so humble) opinion which is their local team that they should support? Southampton, Paris St Germain, or Adelaide United?

Well he hasn't seen Southampton play, his local side clearly isn't PSG, which only leaves Adelaide United.

hold on, one more question. how old is he?

do you now want to discuss his nationality?

Don't you get sick of having the exact same argument with people over and over? You're actually having the same argument with other people in the AU playing Liverpool thread as well.
