I don't see what that has to do with Australia.

IMO if Qatar lose it USA will get it.

In unfortunate news for Australian football fans, the AFL have released their 2022 fixtures eight years ahead of schedule, ruling out all hope for an Australian football World Cup.

With a prominent FIFA official detailing to media on Monday his belief that Qatar will likely not host the 2022 World Cup, Australian fans were hopeful the world’s largest football tournament might have been heading Down Under.

So we're not a chance of getting the WC now!

if the Asian cup is a massive success on and off the field, would surely be considered by fifa as a positive

Did Qatar's 2011 Asian Cup aid their bid?

No money did, poor crowds and a poor performance by the home nation

Very hot conditions and a very small crowd against the Socceroos last night - they just aren't into Football in Qatar

405000 visited the Asian Cup in Qatar with an average of 12000 per match

do you think Australia can beat that?

Good point. It'll be interesting to see!

12k at Hindmarsh would be fantastic, 12k at Suncorp would be a library.

Yes definitely the later rounds boosted the crowds plus there was a lot of "donated" tickets

no chance coming to Australia.. both Aus and England slammed for their 'ethics' and Russia/Qatar acted with integrity

http://www.news.com.au/sport/football/f ... 7122555034

http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... ics-report

"Russian bid executives claimed that all their emails were wiped from their rented computers. Alexei Sorokin, who runs Russia’s 2018 organising committee, denied a deliberate cover-up."

“As such, Fifa looks forward to continuing the preparations for Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022 which are already well underway.”

"That “degree of closure”, which would have suited president Sepp Blatter as his campaign to be re-elected for a fifth term in April next year, now appears some way off."

All emails wiped? lol.. so in a 'paperless society' a backup policy was never setup??? Qatar and Russia all the way hey.. I really hope the major leagues around the world get together to boycott changing their leagues to play the world cup in winter.. that will fuckem

FIFA are SHIRAZ criminals

Hmmmm in 2013/14 average attendance was 5,000 - think you will find the most popular sport is cricket due to all the migrant workers from India and Pakistan
