Lucas Neill's 2014 FIFA World Cup selection hopes received a boost with the Australia captain playing 90 minutes for Blackburn's Under-21 side in its 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur Under-21.

Signed for Watford - heard reports it is til the end of the season but also that it is for 18 months.
At least he'll have had practise playing for a crap team in yellow.
