With such little time for Ange to choose a captain and without seeing the team play as coach, probably not much else he could have done. Tomorrow is a chance for Lucas to stand up and be counted as well as a chance for a new leader to be born

Nup. he has given many years of service to his country just probably will not admit to himself that he is probably past his best.
Wouldnt be the first or last sportsperson to have this issue.
Some times my body reminds me it can no longer do what it used to but I dont like to admit it either
