On the evidence of this side and the style of play, Holger should have gotten the chop ages ago!

They are playing the better of the 2 sides our boys.... It's only a matter of time till we bury one... Ryan has had heaps of the ball but all from our defense.

No offence against Mori but when the majority of your games have been against Fiji and Tonga, I'm glad he's not the sole holder of the national goal scorers record.

Decent performance, good result knocking off a fellow World Cup side. Plenty to work on but a step in the right direction for sure

Hopefully Gumby watching how to play the ball forward! Oar, Rogic, Jedinak, Franjic, Kruse all very good, Leckie looking a bit green still.
Re: SOCCEROOS V COSTA RICA
Tough call....... If I had the record I wouldn't give a crap who I scored goals against for my country. The guy deserves respect for just earning the right to pull on that shirt.MegaBonus wrote:No offence against Mori but when the majority of your games have been against Fiji and Tonga, I'm glad he's not the sole holder of the national goal scorers record.

Gee what a difference in intensity by Australia. Great movement off the ball and looking to go forward and keeping possession . Thought Milligan was very impressive . Great to see Leckie given an opportunity and I think he can cement a spot in the team. Would like to see Mitch Nicolls and Zadkovich in the squad . Believe they are better options than Vidosic and McKay. Troisi is another one I'd have in there ahead of a player like Bozanic.

There has been plenty of people saying that the socceroos are in a but of strife for coming years without enough quality coming through but if you look at a team that'll have rogic, oar, kruse, Ryan, amini, Spiranovic etc. then we certainly have some flair about us.

Also, I reckon ange being coach will make the aleague stronger. Players will get picked from this league and it'll be a place fringe players can come and impress ange.

every player interviewed said they were training harder and trying to hold spot no one liked lucas for saying it but the younger guys didn't deserve the caps for the effort they put in and you can bet Ange painted a new line perform or your out there was no evidence of players dropping performance but it did highlight player skills are still in need of improvement with 1st touch

We were definitely a lot more motivated than previously with guys out to impress the new coach.
Leckie needs time but he is ideally suited to that role in this system.

Expected better from Costa Rica, but Aussies did enough to give hope to the future, albeit I think being competitive at the WC is asking a bit much.

It was in very poor taste to boo the captain when the side wins and he puts in a good game.
Shows a lack of class.

Yep shiraz p!ss poor lack of respect shown to a player who has captained his country so many times, win lose or draw. Some people are plain thick as shiraz bricksBlack_Panther wrote:It was in very poor taste to boo the captain when the side wins and he puts in a good game.
