http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/so ... 6003425065The Socceroos will take on Chile in June as part of a double-header for the national team that will be its first appearance on Australian soil since losing in the final of the Asian Cup.
The South American team is ranked 14th in the world, and made the second round of the 2010 World Cup before losing 3-0 to Brazil.
The other opponent is still to be confirmed, with football chiefs believed to be in negotiations with several European sides.
Before then there is only one game - a friendly with Germany - scheduled for the first few months of 2011, but the year will end with 2014 World Cup qualifiers coming thick and fast, as Holger Osieck bids to emulate Guus Hiddink and Pim Verbeek and take Australia to a World Cup.
After the two friendlies in Australia in June, Osieck and his players can turn their attention to the 2014 campaign.
The full schedule for the World Cup qualifiers will be unveiled in late July when the qualifying draw is made for the 2014 World Cup.
