With Australia set to beat Uzbekistan on Wed night and advance already to the 2010 FIFA Wolrd Cup, is this an easy passage ?
In my opinion, the qualifying setup should be changed from 2 groups of 5 (which is I think what it is now) to 1 group of 10, much similar to that of Conmebol(Sth America)
Reasons: 1) Despite the fact it was good to progress, it not really gonna help us in the long run when we play the big teams
2) If it was changed to 10 teams, we would play the likes of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Iran etc. and games would be more competitive
What do you guys think ?

Re: Qualifying in Asia
South America only has the ten nations and they start qualifying before the official draw starts taking place. Asia has close on 50 members. You have to wittle it down to ten first so that would make it an even longer competition than Comnebal.mattieg1200 wrote:not really.. they do it in Sth America.. why not here ?
And for the record an Aussie win in Uzbekistan will only confirm qualification if Bahrain and Qatar draw their match.
