If you were off grabbing a snack or using the facilities in the 66th minute of last night’s match between Oakleigh and Green Gully, you’d have reason to be aggrieved. Both goals in the 1-1 draw came in the space of sixty seconds in a match that sees the Cannons stay comfortably afoot the competition and the Cavaliers charging towards a finals place.
The game was scoreless at half time but came to life in the 66th minute when Gully’s Kiwi international Jeff Fleming and Cannons’ Esala Masi each found the back of the net.
Oakleigh must now back up on Sunday, away to the Georgies while Green Gully trek to BT Connor to tackle Preston.
