are players allowed to help lift a team mate

Post by frozzgoal »

I've never seen it attempted.,,,,but,
Could a player be lifted like a rugby union throw in to head the ball from a cross or corner etc?
Can a player kneel and let his teammate jump up from his thigh?
Can a player use a teammates shoulder to help lift himself higher?
If done properly these actions would boost a player very much higher than their opposing defenders in a heading contest.
If not allowed, what rules are being broken that disallows this action and whereabouts in the rule book for referees is it found.

Please don't reply with a simple ''yes'' or "no" answer as that doesn't explain anything in terms of rule regulations and refereeing knowledge.

Thanks for your help.
