Peter Lowy

Lifelong Leeds United and football supporter Peter Lowy is a significant investor through the family’s investment company Lowy Family Group, in the 49ers Enterprises investment vehicle. Peter, who was born in Australia and resides in the US, is a businessman having previously held the role as Co-CEO of the Westfield Group, building and developing iconic shopping malls across the US and Europe including Westfield London, Westfield World Trade Center and Westfield Century City.

Currently living in Los Angeles, Peter has also held a number of civic appointments during his career including serving as the Chairman of the Homeland Security Advisory Council and he is a director at the Lowy Institute for International Policy and the RAND Corporation.

The Lowy family are long-time supporters of Association football in Australia, with Peter’s father Frank Lowy and brother Steven acting as Chairman of the Football Federation Australia (FFA) from 2003 to November 2015 and 2015 to 2018.

Massimo Marinelli

Massimo Marinelli is currently Chief Executive Officer of Aser Ventures driving all key investments and delivering on the day-to-day running of the group. A regular at Leeds United games since Andrea bought the club in 2017, Massimo played a key role in the recent investment from the 49ers Enterprises.

Prior to joining Aser Ventures, Massimo spent 15 years in investment banking, latterly as Managing Director, Head of EMEA Media & Internet at UBS Investment Bank where he led and executed transactions for Formula 1, Dorna/MotoGP, Sky, Viacom and Perform amongst others.

Sandro Mencucci

Having spent 17 years as CEO and board member at Serie A side ACF Fiorentina, Sandro brings a wealth of experience to the Leeds United board. Formerly a respected chartered accountant, Mencucci stepped into the role at La Viola in 2002 after the famous club had reached rock bottom landing in Serie C2, Italy’s 4th tier.

Under the leadership of Sandro, Fiorentina reached Serie A by 2004 and went on to compete in the Europa League before qualifying for the UEFA Champions League in 2008-09 and once again in 2009-10. In 2007, Mencucci became the President of the Promesse Viola Srl, the official youth academy for the club. Then in 2014, he became the President of International Development Players LLC, expanding his role within youth development, under the guidance of the youth sector division of the club with its headquarters in the United States.

Lowy, Marinelli and Mencucci will join Leeds United Chairman Andrea Radrizzani, Vice Chairman Paraag Marathe and CEO Angus Kinnear on the Board of Directors.
