The sun is normally pretty good for its sport coverage.
For me, the issue is - if it's true, why haven't they named him?

I think your thread title "Current England International Caught Doing Coke" is a bit mischievous. The rumour mill is claiming it was a past player if there was one.

What risk?
As I have said before, anyone can make up a story like this . An unnamed source, an unnamed player etc...

Re: Current England International Caught Doing Coke
not an expert in defamation laws but why wouldn't current players threaten legal action. by not naming the player, all current players are slurred by the accusation. Could the FA also sue for damaging its reputation?

Doesn't there have to be damage that would cause a loss?MegaBonus wrote:not an expert in defamation laws but why wouldn't current players threaten legal action. by not naming the player, all current players are slurred by the accusation. Could the FA also sue for damaging its reputation?

Re: Current England International Caught Doing Coke
Good example of the British press is the couple arrested for the Gatwick drone incident, the bogan headlines from newspapers and then finding them totally exonerated. I'm sure there will be some legal action coming soon.Old Master wrote:Stitch This wrote:Never stopped the UK tabloids before, so why nowzzz wrote:there is risk involved for the publication
