Great start by Liverpool

Good to see Sturridge back in form and with a much better attitude.

MC losing and Ronaldo ending up in tears, another interesting night in the CL.

There were certainly a 'few' dodgy decisions in the Juve match, lots of money must have changed hands somewhere.

As i said before, during the world cup it was reported that a certain Albanian buissness man donated over two million euros on his account-being the reason he was told to leave the world cup.

I enjoyed the highlights from the Hoffenheim V Shakter game - both teams pushing for a win to give them any chance to progress 2-2 at half time and both teams hit the posts in the second half then in the 92 minute Shakter hit the winner.

The 2 goals from Maxwel Cornet from Lyon were good and he looks like a good player that may get snapped up by a bigger team in the future.

Although I would expect them to win comfortably, the PSG result is just about irrelevant. Liverpool need to win by 1-0 or by two clear goals if the Naps score, so 2-1 or 3-2 would be no good to them.

Spurs' only hope is that Barca, having already topped the group, decide to put out a C team, other than that they'll be joining the Goons in the Europa.

Arent PSG 2 points clear of Liverpool atm and if they win the last game they go 5 points clear - I would have thought them winning or losing their last game would be relevant to Liverpool?

Or am I missing something.

Regardless of PSG result, if Liverpool beat Napoli as described by NOC then they will leapfrog Napoli into second place (at worst) and therefore qualify.

please explain???

Napoli = 9 points, 7 goals for and 4 against
Liverpoo = 6 points, 8 goals for and 7 against

Liverpoo would have to win 2-0 at best, a 1 goal margin would NOT leapfrog Napoli

From my calculations it would.

Does it go on head to head? In which case what was the 1st games score?

Or does it go on GD and then Goals scored? If that, then whoever wins finishes above the other one.

The last round of this group should be amazing to watch,I think Liverpool can pull this off,but Napoli have a talented team that can beat anybody on the day.If i was Klopp i would be tutoring red star coach to pull of their best game of the year.

Points, head to head (with away goals counting as decider), goals scored I think

Doesn't matter is PSG lose or draw, Liverpool HAVE to win by a certain margin to go through.

In a really fkd-up version of events,if Napoli win in Liverpool & Red-star win in Belgrade,Napoli & Paris advance from group C to the knockout stages,& Crvena Zvezda proceeds to the Europa League. With Reds saying goodbye to Europe for the season.

UEFA use head to head records as the first few deciders.

So, what was the score when they played the first game?

So Napoli won 1-0 in the first gameso if Liverpool win 1-0 then it would be even. I assume it then comes down to total GD and total GS and Liverpool would go ahead of Napoli?

Liverpool though would need to win by 2 goals, if Napoli score.
