Reports: Neymar Wants To Play With Ronaldo

REAL MADRID continue to work at prising unsettled Neymar away from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Spaniards are treading carefully as they are anxious to show their respect for the French club and do things the right way.

PSG obviously don’t want to lose the Brazilian striker they paid a world record £198million for last summer when he left Barcelona.

But Marca say the 26-year-old is unhappy in Paris and the general standard of play in the French League 1.

Neymar would welcome the chance to return to La Liga and play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

Marca believe Ronaldo wouldn’t have a problem having Neymar alongside him.

It is thought that Real originally planned to move for Neymar in 2019. But they are hoping to seize a chance now given the growing distance between the player and his club.

There is no release clause in his contract with the new Ligue 1 champions, though, so an exit path must be studied.

Neymar is back in training with PSG as he aims to recover from injury in time for the World Cup.

He has been out of action since suffering a fractured foot in a game against rivals Marseille at the end of February.

Neymar, who has scored 28 goals in 29 games for PSG, has been gushing in regard to Ronaldo and Real lately.

Then there was the hug between the two players on the pitch of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu after the Champions League last 16 first leg.

Now comes Neymar’s desire to play with Ronaldo and all of the other stars of the Real Madrid dressing room.
Image
Almost as soon as Neymar arrived at Paris Saint-Germain last summer, speculation began he was only making a stopover in the French capital, smoothing a move across Clasico lines from Barcelona to Real Madrid.

That has been the idea pushed by many around the Bernabeu throughout the 2017-18 campaign, although the narrative has been strongly countered by PSG's Qatari owners who have firmly maintained their world-record €222 million signing is not going anywhere.
Image
"I'm a bit bored of it already," Neymar said when asked about a potential move last weekend. But it often seems as if the player and the respective coaches at both clubs (Zinedine Zidane and now Thomas Tuchel) are the least important characters in a drama which reaches from football into global power politics.

Antoine Griezmann's future -- Atletico or Barca? -- becoming a distraction
Image
One name hovered over all the activities at Atletico Madrid's media day ahead of next Wednesday's Europa League final against Marseille, although the afternoon's main protagonist was himself kept well away from any microphones.
Image
Club captain Gabi was the first player to appear in the Wanda Metropolitano pressroom, where reporters had been invited to get the quotes and angles required for their preview pieces ahead of next week's game in Lyon. The first journalist called upon wasted no time in bringing up this week's big talking point around the club: how the Atletico dressing room felt about the buildup to such an important game being dominated by speculation about star forward Antoine Griezmann potentially joining Barcelona in the summer.
Image
"There are things we cannot control," replied Gabi, stoic in his response. "We are very relaxed, focused on the final, then we'll see about his future. Antoine is a very important player for us and could play for any team in the world. We have been talking about him all year, and his situation, but all we want to focus on now is the final, and winning a trophy." :( :( :( :(

English, not England. And if he is good enough he will still play for England, so it’s not an issue to the England team.
