How many were involved?
How many travelled?

Funny seeing the jealousy.
So true. Been confirmed that up to 99% of England fans attending the game behaved themselves and possibly a few hangers on got too pissed on a Friday session in Amsterdam, not really that unusual. This kind of negative profiling of a whole nation based on vague assumptions smacks of blatant prejudice....For shame.

Because it sells papers and it's mainly white working class men.

And also the same reason why Millwall will get that negative perception, it's an easy target once you have the reputation.

1 - does it really sell newspapers???
2 - I think the stereotypical image of the travelling English hooligan belonging to the working class has been debunked decades ago...

Negative stereotyping gives people a place to judge from and the old bill an excuse to provoke (which they often do and from what I have heard, did again in this case) but no one got hurt so why on earth is it world wide news. Let’s face it coverage of some chavs getting pissed in a red light district make better headlines than say “500 fans visit Anne Frank Huis museum”, it’s human nature.

Well if the idiot minority didnt choose such behaviour then it wouldn't be in the paper. However there is clear minority whose agenda is to get drunk and cause trouble and this cannot be denied. Sadly the majority who go to enjoy the game and support England are tarnished by this minority element.

I would hope the idiot minority don't pull the same tricks in Russia, imagine spending time in a Russian prison as convicted English hooligan.

Valid point about the quoting, invalid point about the grammar.

Just heard from a mate who was there. He said it was pissed up northerners who couldn't behave themselves. The police then came in on every Englishman who was even close to the vicinity.

That’s just a beat-up in Lord Murdoch’s rag that Australia “may boycott”. Biatch Bishop followed up by saying it ain’t so.

She and Trumble should just copy your Theresa May who said no members of the Government or Royal Family will attend the World Cup. (In Australia’s case make that the Government & The Governor-General).

Your Theresa May knows she would face a revolt of the people if she made the England team boycott the Cup.

Watched the England v Italy game this morning and the 3-5-1-1 formation certainly suits the players he has at his disposal with Sterling the stand out player. I would think Ali would be under some pressure for a start with Lingaard and Sterling combination working well. Real surprise was Kyle Walker as one of three CB'c. Mind you lot more solid than Stones, who on this game showed why he cant start at Man City.
