Shankly Trophy - Huddersfield Town v Liverpool

Post by swannsong »

Played this week between Liverpool and Huddersfield Town in honour of Bill Shankly who was at Huddersfield (brought Denis Law into the side) before moving across
to Liverpool.
Added interest this year is that Jurgen Klopp's former right hand man at Borussia Dortmund, David Wagner, is now in charge at Huddersfield and the arrival of Aaron Mooy on loan from Manchester City.

Just. Still building the team, only had a manager a matter of days.
Millwall top after Round 1.

Apparently Mooy was a standout for the 45 minutes he was on...

He was definitely the pick of your players and wouldn't have looked out of place in a red shirt.

Is that a compliment or an insult?
