It's nice to see a Bodø/Glimt representative doing so well.

Almost 66 years to the day, when USA beat England at the 1950 World Cup.

Germany treat friendlies as friendlies, a time to experiment.
Socceroos go out there to win though because they rarely get to play proper football nations.

2006, 2010 and 2014 World cup campaigns say otherwise.

He's probably in shell shock after the Brexit vote.

Same goes for the England team - they thought the vote meant they had to exit the Euros as well?

He got the result he wanted, even if his local area opposed it.

On another week, last week's Have You Been Paying Attention showed is Iceland's commentator after they equalized against Portugal, this week's episode had the winner against Austria, so no doubt next week will show us something from the England game (unless something happens against France between now and then).

They'll never pass up the opportunity to pour derision on the English, so it will definitely be shown.

Strange that Iceland started differently against France than they did against England and pushed on more, leaving the French more space behind them. Maybe beating England filled their heads with ideas that they could actually play football and beat France, rather than sticking to parking the bus and relying on breakaways and set pieces.

At least Bodø/Glimt can have their goalkeeper back (although they kept a clean sheet without him on the weekend).
What do we have to do to get some consistency around here?

Well, I don't think that's in dispute, but it was odd that Iceland moved away from a formula that obviously worked.

Probably didnt feel confident about giving France so much of the ball as they did with England (who were wasteful with it)
