France does have a problem with Racism at the moment.
I think having the tournament there probably hasn't been a great idea.

Maybe you can re post your statement regarding the French police and the video link againGod is an Englishman wrote:What part are you disagreeing with? Clearly the English causing all the trouble with 6 jailed, no Russian arrests at this time, oh hang on forgot, the French hate the English
What's with the UK press now labeling the English hooligans as fans and the Russians as thugs, that's a quick turn around from what they were labeling them last week in the press

6 jailed just means they caught them and actually make my point. We've all seen the videos of the Russians involved in the trouble but not one arrested. Already been caught and tried and found guilty. It's very fair this French judicial system.
Yes, the media have now seen the videos as well and seen that the English are not the aggressors. Probably helped when Jamie Vardy's missus comes out and tells her story.

So UEFA have admitted it was the Russians. Honestly, GIAE needs a medal for his patience dealing with the 10 year olds on this forum.

Do you not think that some of these problems have occurred due to cultural sensitivities?God is an Englishman wrote:Russians are attacking scarfers, England are defending themselves.Brian the Postman wrote:All this Russian and English behavior is pretty much passion according to most on here.
"shiraz off russia, we're England and Wales"
ie the French probably didn't like the idea of hordes of Englishmen coming into their city and claiming that they were taking over. The Russians also were very angry at the booing of their national anthem by the English supporters.

Re: England fans attacked
This was pre meditated, it was too organised to not have been. The firing of the flare as the signal to attack. No way was that down to the boo'ing of the anthem.Brian the Postman wrote:Do you not think that some of these problems have occurred due to cultural sensitivities?God is an Englishman wrote:Russians are attacking scarfers, England are defending themselves.Brian the Postman wrote:All this Russian and English behavior is pretty much passion according to most on here.

I know the french police are bad, that's been proved this week but surely they don't attack people or stand by and watch them getting attacked because they don't like people drinking and having a good time.

There was talk on social media of some England fans seeking revenge on their Russian counterparts.
One Twitter user boasted today the 'English cavalry is comi'
and we're looking for a "tear up" in Lens on Wednesday.
Don't think he will make it by WednesdayAnother tweeter said: "You don't press on the English without expecting some fight back.
"We can take the fight to their level after boasting of a fight with four Russians while travelling through France following Saturday's game

the russians wouldnt be fighting their orthodox brothers in the first place, just as much as the Greeks wouldnt be taunting them to begin with
plenty of evidence to suggest the poms are provoking the russians, who dont seem to like eating cabernet
