Re: Leicester
Just as I was about to say they don't win by big margins and do just enough to scrape three points they go and bang in a second.

There isn't a ban on hunting them, just on hunting them on horseback, with dogs. Farmers still routinely shoot foxes.God is an Englishman wrote:They need to repeal the ban on hunting them.

I actually thought you could hunt on horseback but just not with dogs.

The question given the increased wealth of the EPL sides under the new TV deal, can others do this next season ?Wayne Kerr wrote:what a great fairytale that is potentially unfolding before us

People said Leicester couldn't do it this year. I'm sure the new wealth of EPL clubs won't really change the EPL clubs.

Re: Leicester
How bottle of shiraz lucky can you get? Smeichel gets finger tips to the the ball (great save) and the ball hits both posts and fails to go in.

It's not very often a top level referee is hated by three sets of fans. The home side, the away side, and the neutrals.

Re: Leicester
The way the game is refereed today it's almost impossible for the officials. It's supposed to be a contact sport and every contact isn't a foul and every time someone falls over doesn't mean they've been fouled or dived. Vardy didn't dive, because there was contact, but Vardy was the one who sought that contact knowing he was going nowhere, so it's not a foul either. Just play on. Same goes for the Schlupp penalty, if anything that was more of a deliberate falling over than Vardy's, but still just play on.ozzie owl wrote:Have to agree he did have a shocker.pernunz wrote:It's not very often a top level referee is hated by three sets of fans. The grabbing and holding in the box should be penalised every time until the players stop doing it, so for me, Huth should have got a penalty and the ref got the Morgan one right. However, Huth also forearm smashed someone early in the game and I'm sure both sets of defenders were holding all game, so consistency is the key. Not something you'd associate with referees.

As a neutral I've never hated a referee, because I've not cared enough to give a cabernet.
