Leicester fans getting edgy in more ways than one.

Post by N5 1BH »

One cashed out last week for £29,000 and just before the Watford game another one who was looking at a £250,000 payout from Ladbrokes cashed out for £72,000. It would have gone up to £91,000 if he’d waited till after the game too.

Cash in or let it ride? Would it be too daft to turn down a guaranteed £72,000? Now he’s taken it does he secretly want them to lose so he doesn’t feel a right dick for the rest of his life?

Clearly he has made a decent profit money-wise anyway. Why the hell wouldn't you want your team to win the league as well?

I would imagine it's win-win for him.

He's made a lot of money and would get to watch his dirty stinking northern monkeys win the league.

I am lifelong Foxes tragic and when betting opened here last year my wife took us at 3001/1 odds for $20.00. She meant to put on only $2.00 but hit wrong button (god bless her!) so looking at $60k if we win it. Currently offering $27,500.00 cash out but we are holding our nerves. May think about it at $35 to $40k as we have what should be winnable games over next month.

She also has a number of other bets totalling $10k for outlay of $50.00 and they are on track also. Took cashout on top 4 finish 5 weeks ago for $2,200.00 as the final payout was $3000.00 at seasons end.

My only gripe is the odds in UK opened at 5001/1 and ours here in Australia as said was 3000/1 when they opened a month later.

All in all this is a dream season for my beloved LCFC with bonus of some big dollars too hopefully!

Born and bred in Australia but my family roots trace back to a Village in Leicestershire which still exists and carries our family surname so destined to follow them.

Been following Leicester since I was a young kid getting the old player cards from early 70's. Never seen them live and never visited the UK however with advent of internet, pay TV I was at least able to see them semi regulary on TV and follow on the net. In the 70's through to the 90's it was 1 to 2 week old papers and football magazines but my support never waned.

Cannot believe the season we have had and even if we don't end up winning the PL I will never forget the journey to date.

You and the rest of us - the closest to this happening in the past might be when Blackburn won the title? :?:

Blackburn spent a fair bit of money to get that one though. Wasn't entirely unexpected

They had a rich good owner, and a magical manager, who knew how to build a team. They didn't buy any world beaters just good players.

Biggest upset (if they win it) since Nottingham Forest won it against all odds late 70's/early 80's - went on to win some decent Euro silverware afterwards too!

Perhaps you could use your winnings to visit them next season?

I'd rather Leicester win the EPL than any of the Southern retards losing ground below them, particularly muscat-nal.

Feel exactly the same about all the northern monkey teams. Let them stick to racing pigeons and interfering with their sisters.

My wife bottled it and took $35k AUD this afternoon - not bad for $20.00 outlay given she meant to only put $2.00 on but hit wrong button. Most friends and family think good idea but a few of my mates think should have hung out longer and go for the end $60k but $35k is great money and one or two losses, gap shortens then cashout figure shrinks and if we don't win title then we would have regretted not taking todays amount.

Now can not stress about that bit and enjoy our push for title.

He's from Leicester, high percentage chance that it's against his religion to drink alcohol.

Yes towel heads, only an over sensitive PC lady would think that is racist.
