In 2006, as part of a dermatological congress in Florence, the results of a Hair Vitality study involving patients with hair loss were published. In this study 30 patients, who were divided into two groups. One group was provided you with a combination of amino acid preparation and a vitamin group B. The other group was given placebo. After six months, it was found that the number of hairs that were in the growth phase in the group taking methionine was approximately 10% higher than the group placebo.
