The whole thing is starting to remind me of the dead parrot sketch.

Whilst I'm revelling in their misfortune, I prefer to stay away from bold predictions, they have a way of coming back to bite you on the backside.New name required wrote:surely it was expected? who doesn't win v Chelasea these days..... calling NOCozzie owl wrote:Great result for Bournemouth.Bomber wrote:Deserve their own topic.

It is strange though, that essentially the same players that were Champs are now chumps.

At least when they jump across to Leicester, they can still use their blue scarves.
As my son said to his Chelsea mate last week, can't wait to play you in the league next season.

Re: Chelsea
To be fair if you 'd have asked me 35 years ago if I'd be happy that with a few more wins we could guarantee top flight football for the next season I would have been happy.
There's plenty of clubs that would love to have enjoyed our lack of success.

More chance of Villa winning the title than Chelsea going down. I bet they finish in the top 10.BIG RED wrote:Outlaw 2.0 wrote:Leeds United all over again?

Re: Chelsea
Chelsea would not become like Leeds as they wouldn't have to sell players just to pay wages. Wages are all guaranteed for the life of every player's contract.
However, it would see the Chelsea fans getting their club back.

Not making top 4 would mean they have to find ~30m from Gazprom i mean "market value non-arms length" commercial deals to supplement their wage spending.
Reckon Roman is a bit uneasy.
If he pink slips Mourinho would be a monster package.
If he doesn't and they miss out on CL, they might be in some FFP bother.

So they did, perhaps he means Palace, Soton or Pool. So many to choose from

question is, do we keep mourinho and let him rebuild ? ( should of done that before the season )
or bite the bullet, pay out his nice contract and get a new manager... who would come mid season ?
Guardiola or Simeone ? unlikely
so it would be an unemployed manager, willing to do a caretaker role
Rodgers
redknapp
ancelotti

Re: Chelsea
It all depends on how long Abramovic is prepared to put up with the humiliation of Chelsea being a laughing stock.
I think he will act after the Christmas/New Year period if things don't improve.
Who he'll replace Mourinho with I can't imagine.
