Hearts claim win in Copil chase
Ivanauskas says Hearts are Copil's destination
Hearts head coach Valdas Ivanauskas has claimed that the Tynecastle club have won the race to sign Romanian teenager Dumitru Copil.
The highly rated 16-year-old is also being chased by SPL leaders Celtic.
"I think that this is a very good deal for us as we have wanted him for some time so we are very pleased," he told the Evening News.
"He is just a young player but has very good prospects and we are very happy that he is coming to Hearts."
Copil has been tipped in his homeland to be as good a player as former Romanian international Gheorghe Hagi and had been invited to a trial at Celtic.
"I know that some people have compared him to Hagi and we will have to wait and see how he develops but he definitely has quality," Ivanauskas added.
HEARTS ACTUALLY BEAT CELTIC IN SOMETHING..................
HEARTS CLAIM WIN IN COPIL CHASE.
