Re: Blaster to resign as FIFA president
Don't get too excited - the meeting won't be held until at least December 2015, more likely March 2016.

Jennings was strongly of the opinion that Uncle Frank needs to resign.General Tony Cash wrote:Surely our Fwank isn't in trouble also???

This suggests that Jennings believes Frank ain't entirely squeaky clean.

Or it might suggest Jennings is an attention seeker enjoying his 15 minutes of fame.kevinkeegan wrote:Jennings was strongly of the opinion that Uncle Frank needs to resign.General Tony Cash wrote:Surely our Fwank isn't in trouble also???

He's been famous for a bit longer than 25 minutes. I bought his book about 5 years ago.otto62 wrote:Or it might suggest Jennings is an attention seeker enjoying his 15 minutes of fame.kevinkeegan wrote:Jennings was strongly of the opinion that Uncle Frank needs to resign.General Tony Cash wrote:Surely our Fwank isn't in trouble also???

Re: Blatter to resign as FIFA president
Id be more disappointed if Frank hadn't done everything he could to try and get votes, if he was 'taking bribes' rather than paying them, that's a different story.

he voted for Qatar.
Yeah, rightoUefa's president and potential candidate to succeed Blatter. Has admitted voting for Qatar and said that then-French president Nicolas Sarkozy, a supporter of Qatari-funded Paris St-Germain, wanted him to. But Platini insisted he was not influenced.

Re: Blatter to resign as FIFA president
There is no doubt that FIFA is corrupt, but it is nothing compared to the Olympics where you have to pay US$20 Million just to be put on the list of potential bidders.
It then costs many $Millions more to actually make it to the list of potential candidates.

The IOC cleaned up its act after Salt Lake. Don't see how it's corrupt to pay an application fee.Old Master wrote:There is no doubt that FIFA is corrupt, but it is nothing compared to the Olympics where you have to pay US$20 Million just to be put on the list of potential bidders.

I agree, re the fee bing OK, but I doubt IOC is clean. I wonder if any top governing body is whiter than white.God is an Englishman wrote:The IOC cleaned up its act after Salt Lake.
