The author of this topic has put it in to the wrong forum & gone off on a tangent as usual..
But seeing moderators or admin haven't moved it, here is some stop-press news:

If only they extended their white collar crime- fighting to the crooked banks, big pharma, big Agri etc.
That fraud dwarfs even FIFA's efforts.
Of course nothing will ever be done about these protected companies/ industries.

The bigger picture big questions are how on earth did we get sucked in to bidding for a WC bid and wasting $48m in the first place . What were the ozzi FIFA reps thinking?????
Any future bid and the last was a waste of money time and effort .
How much of this money came from junior fees paid??

so what do think should have been done with the money instead john. perhaps a bribe to indonesia not to shoot the drug smugglers or spend it here in an effort to revive manufacturing in this country to give aussies jobs again or just give it to nepal cos they could sure use it at the moment.johndedes wrote:Shoot goal

For all I know, you may be right. Though all you've done is proved that you're good at complaining, whining & no-action. Seems to be a football thing; quick to point out the rubbish but most never help to clean it up.

To STOP corruption in world Football, it needs to be back in England running it.
Regardless what anyone thinks, the Poms are the only honest organisation in the world.

Call it influence or whatever you feel.
Even in the local game???
I am rich Busibess Dad I give sponsorship to a local club I follow, bingo my son gets game time.
Or I am on a local clubs committee when the same person(s) always get elected president or chair person?
I might be a member of a particular political party thus get to run the admin of a sporting association.
The connections are endless eg money and politics......
At the end what happens is people procure the sport not for the common good but for self or the chosen few.

Re: FIFA corruption ?
Time for local clubs to start sourcing sponsors who's Directors/CEO's don't have children.
Also clubs need to be very wary about good people volunteering their time becoming club presidents/chairman, one thing leads to another and next thing you know they're being voted in again.
I think the FFSA need to do a workshop on these two points, shame local clubs, shame.
Shoot, throw in.

The reality is good volunteers are used up and then the next crop comes in and it's the same old people quasi owning/running the club.
Next rich Dad comes along with a son and the cycle continues.

Breaking news, SB resigns from FIFA.
Some people are calling for FL to resign here in Australia?
This also points for the need of a total restructure of soccer in Australia.
The main pointer to this is the pointless wasted WC bid of approx $40m + and the pressure on local senior and junior clubs to survive due to high fees going up to the top to support FFA and State Federations.
Some soccer administrators in Federal and State are on very big wages on the back of a volunteer industry fueled by high junior fees.

You're still in the wrong forum, JD.
But while we're here - yes, the big bad wolf Bladder is GONE!
ps, don't agree with your rant about our World Cup bid. Ya gotta be in it to win it. How many bids did we have to make before with the then-equally-corrupt IOC before winning the Sydney 2000 Olympics? I don't remember soccer-football haters whingeing about those bids for the Olympics.
IMO England should have won 2018 in front of the country of oligarchs, mafioso & prostitutes. And the USA should have won 2022 with us running second, thus setting up Australia for 2026.
pps JD. Stop ending every post with a bloody question mark!
