Arsenal great Henry announces retirement

Post by haywood djablowme »

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has announced his retirement from football.

The club's record goalscorer, 37, left New York Red Bulls in December and has decided to take up a media role.

"It has been an incredible journey," said Henry, who scored 228 goals in 377 appearances for Arsenal.

Absolute Champion. Two League titles, three FA Cups, four Golden Boots, five Player of the Year awards!

Pleasure to watch him play, go down as one of, if not the best player to play in the premiership

Big call that will always divide opinion and be debated no matter who gets the tag, but I think it's a fair shout, definitely up there amongst the best.
Doubt you'll get many Irish agreeing though.

He's still a cheat.
I'm not playing anymore and I'm taking my ball and going home.

Even though he played for the muscat-anal I rate him as one of the best strikers the game has ever seen.
The older I get the better I was.

Unlucky paddy

Even if he weren't in an arsenal kit (even if it were a spuds kit...gulp) I'd still put it out there he is deserving of a top three position of the prems best.
