I love how Arsenal fans try to be funny after they win one game. I hope their sore necks aren't too bad looking up at us.

Re: Liverpool
Poor old Danny Sturridge managed 3 minutes for West Brom before going off injured, you can see why Klopp let him go on loan.

Only seen the highlights, but you can't argue with 5 away from home. Some pretty horrible goalkeeping by Porto though.Bomber wrote:Handy away goals overnight.

I didn't take any credit away from Liverpool, as I said, I've only seen the highlights which is essentially the goals, I simply stated the truth, that the Porto keeping was pretty awful. Porto finished second in probably the weakest group so, maybe not 5 nil away, but I would expect Liverpool to beat them relatively comfortably.

As someone else said. And I agree with it.
“They were shite” they’ll say.
That ‘shite’ beat RB Liebzig 3-1, and Monaco 5-2 and 3-0 in the group.
They’re unbeaten in the league and have only conceded 10.
Well done Reds!!!

I even said I wished we could have been thrashed by Munich- better than not being in it. I can’t remember if I said that every year or just after the real hiding you took though.

Anyway, I accept it, Porto are world beaters and play in the toughest league in the world. Liverpool must be an unbelievable team to beat them. One can only imagine how good Besiktas are to finish above them.

The area Liverpool are really good is up top, you have to stop that supply and any midfield that gets dominated by Henderson, Wijnaldum and Milner isn't up to much.
As for Spurs, I think they got lucky with the result after an offside goal was allowed and an error from Davies left them two down, but what impressed me was that the Spurs of 10 years ago would have collapsed and probably lost by 5, but they showed a resilience, not dissimilar to Liverpool and United of old, and ended up dominating the game and creating the majority of the chances.
Goals change games and sometimes you need a bit of luck.
