Re: Liverpool
It's starting to look like it was mainly Suarez. Rodgers won't be on his way out for now anyways. I still think they'll give him half a season at least.Nice One Cyril wrote:Very funny, but the point remains, is Rodgers a top line manager, or was he just very lucky that Luis Suarez was at Liverpool?New name required wrote:Only supported them since you were 17?

Re: Liverpool
Good to see some new young players given an opportunity in the Europa League match against Bordeaux overnight.

Re: Liverpool
Like we don't give youngsters a chance in the league? We have a young team. Or are Gomez, Ibe, Ings, Rossiter and Origi too old?
We gave DIFFERENT youngsters a chance.

It was meant as compliment and good to see new young players given a chance, looks like Rossiter is held in very high regard.New name required wrote:Like we don't give youngsters a chance in the league? We have a young team. Or are Gomez, Ibe, Ings, Rossiter and Origi too old?

Re: Liverpool
i (genuinely) wish we had quality older players who would win games.
This current set up we have (players and management) is the worst in my time of supporting the club, worse than Souness era.

Re: Liverpool
In 1992 we had the likes of McMannaman coming through (92 cup final). Barnes was still around
With Ruddock we had Redknapp, Fowler etc too.
So overall yes this is the worst.

Re: Liverpool
the more you old folks keep going on about the early 90s the more our fanbase just fills with gross negativity, all your moaning is doing is setting a terrible example for the next wave of support. try supporting with your brain a little and not just your hearts, you could be moaning your way through the next long term gaffer and his host of u23 players he's bringing through - look how young the team and gaffer are, look how far back we had to come from the yank regime and the disgusting squad we had assembled. you guys are like bitching women bitching about anything you can every day!!
the performance against norwich was the best in ages, no doubt because Sturridge is back, the focal point that the whole team can work around. it wasn't the gaffers fault coutinho missed all his chances was it? stop whining for one moment and take games on their own merits, you might start enjoy watching footy again.

When it comes to support of my football team of course I don't. Otherwise I would be like most on here and picked a team because they were a big club doing well.Wayne Kerr wrote:God is an Englishman wrote:Anyone who supports with their brain and not their heart is not a true supporter.

Jurgen the German is the popular choice, but I think Carlo would be the wise choice if you want to improve your dodgy defence.Bomber wrote:Ok, BR is gone and was on the cards. Who's coming in? Ancelotti? Or the German bloke?
Either way, I can't see them competing for a title in the next three years unless they spend another £300m.
I actually think BR was a good coach, he was just waaank in the transfer market.

A German with a Bosnian as his number 2, with Gerrard coming back from Galaxy in the New year as coach too.
Re: Liverpool
I'm over in England at the moment and hearing over here that Ancellotti will take over. Possibly as early as Wednesday or Thursday. In saying that, rumours are flying around left right and centre. But this one seems to be the strongest floating around

Re: Liverpool
I thought Liverpool played quite well against Everton especially first half - they could have been a few up if they took their half chances.
But in saying that Everton made the Liverpool keeper pull off a couple of very good saves.
Im not a fan of the formation Rodgers plays and I have to wonder if this is partly why he hasn't had the success needed for him to keep his job.
